South Surrey White Rock Minor Softball's U11 Rep Thunder 2013 showcased their skills and determination at the Super Mite Tournament this weekend hosted by Ridge Meadows Minor Softball Association. The event featured sixteen teams from the greater Vancouver region, including participants from Washington State.
Under the guidance of Coach Stefan Durstan, the Thunder finished the round robin stage as the 1st seed, maintaining an undefeated record. This impressive performance earned them a spot in the Gold Bracket championship round.
In the playoff game, the Thunder faced off against the Tri City Titans 14 and secured a decisive 9-2 victory. However, heavy rain prevented the tournament from continuing beyond this point. As a result, the final standings were determined based on the teams' records in the round robin and single playoff game.
The final standings in the Gold Bracket were as follows:
- Gold: Thunder 13
- Silver: North Langley 14
- Bronze: Whatcom County
